Words Of Appreciation
Our agency frequently receives recognition for the care we have provided to a patient or someone’s loved one. Many tell us they don't have the words to describe their appreciation and simply say "Thanks." Below are comments and letters from patients and family members sharing their gratitude.

Home Health and Hospice Agency and Skilled Nursing Facility Partner at Local Event to Celebrate New Name

ProMedica Home Health and Hospice Serving Central Ohio and ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Westerville) recently attended a community pep rally at The Avalon of New Albany to engage with the community about the continuum of care that ProMedica provides. It was a fun event, filled with music, food trucks, a bounce house, a bonfire and a raffle. Residents, community members, colleagues from other healthcare organizations, as well as team members from both the agency and facility attended the event.
When asked about the purpose of the event, Katie Brown, senior account liaison at ProMedica Home Health and Hospice, shared, “It is important to collaborate because ProMedica offers a continuity of care with creative solutions to meet patients and families in their healthcare journey.”
This event provided an opportunity to share the continuum of care in the Central Ohio area and allowed the teams to engage with their community in a creative way. Even Brutus, The Ohio State University mascot, attended!

Heartland Hospice and Jamie's Dream Team Fulfill Patient's Heart's Desire to Visit Manhattan
Heartland Hospice serving Central Ohio, a division of ProMedica, and Jamie’s Dream Team helped Heartland Hospice patient, Alice, travel to Manhattan, NY to attend a Broadway show and walk around the city she grew to love one last time. Staff members made her Heart’s Desire come true by providing Alice with a 2-night stay in Manhattan, along with tickets for a Broadway musical.
The summer after Alice graduated college, she was a cocktail waitress at the World’s Fair in Manhattan. From that point on, she fell in love with the city, and in her earlier years was able to visit and attend Broadway shows with her friends. “I love New York. I love the feel of New York. I worked the World’s Fair there after college, and it was magical! I would love to walk the streets of Manhattan with my friends one more time,” said Alice.
The event was made possible after Janette Branham, Director of Nursing at Wyngate Assisted Living, reached out to Monica McKee, Account Liaison with Heartland Hospice, to help put together the trip for Alice. “It was extremely special to be a part of organizing this trip and we’re blessed to be able to partner with Jamie’s Dream Team on making Alice’s wish come true,” said Monica.
Alice’s trip started with a Send-Off Celebration at Wyngate Assisted Living where everyone gathered to wish her a safe and enjoyable trip. She then traveled to New York City with Jeannette and her friends Connie and Linda. They ate lots of wonderful food, walked with Alice on the streets on Manhattan and went with her to see the Broadway show “Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of the Temptations.” Everyone enjoyed their time together to make this a special trip for their friend, Alice. When asked how her trip was, Alice said, “Words cannot express.” Jeannette said, “Wow, this was such an amazing experience. I cannot thank Heartland Hospice and Monica enough. I told Alice how blessed I am to be a part of her life and she replied ‘vise-versa’.”
